In order to protect the health of our patients and our staff, we are implementing special precautions based on the guidance of the CDPHE (Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment). Here’s what to expect:
Even before Covid-19, we always welcomed patients to call us to discuss symptoms like pain, swelling, aching, and tenderness in the legs. Now getting in touch by phone is even more important, and a starting point for treatment. We want to assess whether coming by for an in-person appointment would benefit you, or if a virtual consultation would be the best next step. To set up a FREE telehealth appointment, contact us today.
We will ask patients who come for in-person appointments to wait in their vehicle until called – no one will be sitting in the waiting room at any point. Only two patients will be admitted in the office at a time, and we will maintain a distance between patients of at least six feet.
No patients with symptoms such as shortness of breath, cough, or fever will be admitted. We will screen all patients by calling them before their appointment. Before entering the facility, Lisa, our medical assistant, will check each patient’s temperature and ask whether or not they have been experiencing symptoms associated with Covid-19.
After each patient visit, staff will disinfect all areas of contact including beds, chairs, couches, countertops, light switches, doorknobs, and the front desk.
All providers will wear face shields, safety glasses, masks & gloves, and if possible gowns throughout the day when seeing patients. All staff will wear face masks and we highly encourage patients to wear a mask while in the office. Even when we are not seeing patients, our staff is still taking precautions. We are maintaining a six-foot distance from each other (to the extent possible), and wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves and masks at all times.
We care very much about everyone’s health and think these steps are important. The staff at Artemis hopes that soon these measures won’t be necessary, but we ask for your patience as we work with them for now. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your symptoms or make an appointment – we miss all of our patients and look forward to seeing you very soon!
